Hi, again! 👋
I am a UX/Product Designer who transitioned from academia with a formal background in Urban Design paired with years of research experience throughout my graduate education. I have a strong desire to meet people's needs and enhance product experience through user-centered methodologies and a creative problem-solving perspective.
I stand at the intersection of
RESEARCH
DESIGN
My story of being an advocate for people and designing for people begins with my bachelor's in Urban Design, where I started learning how to design experiences and strategies at the intersection of people and the environment. Throughout my undergraduate and graduate education, I've been trained to gain a deep understanding of how people interact with their environment and how design can define and shape this interaction. My story took a slight turn when I got introduced to the UX industry by my husband. I shifted my focus from questioning physical environments to digital environments created through software. And I am happy that I now have a chance to shape and design people's interactions through a different medium. This is the main reason that I transitioned from academia to UX design. I believe that I can support and improve core spheres of human life and make more impact on people's lives in this constantly digitalizing world.
Another important factor motivating me to pursue UX design is being human-centered. The idea of gaining the ability and power to meet people's needs and improve their interaction and experience through innovation and research sounds fascinating to me. Also, my passion and training in qualitative research – more specifically ethnographic research methods – have shaped my approach to design and prepared me to understand better and empathize with user-centered design processes.
